Empowering First American Nations to take control of their community health needs.
Tribal Sovereignty is the key to healthy native nations. Too often, western medical systems and public healthcare programs are dictated to us by federal funding. This is problematic because it does not address the key health issues faced by tribal communities deemed most important by the tribes themselves. Federal funding is designed to pit tribe against tribe in competition for dollars on topics the federal, state, or local government deems important. In many cases, public health concerns do not align across government to government relationships.
